Hello!

I am Lovisa, an adopted Vietnamese who grew up attending international schools in both Botswana and Sweden before calling Scotland home. My multicultural upbringing has fostered a deep respect for diverse cultures and perspectives, sparking a genuine curiosity about what contributes to a happy and fulfilling life. I believe that our unique backgrounds and circumstances play an important role in personal growth and wellbeing, and this understanding guides my approach to therapy. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where we can explore these insights together, celebrating the value they bring to our lives.

I am deeply passionate about helping others live fulfilling and meaningful lives, which inspired me to study psychology, counselling skills, and therapeutic approaches. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working closely with individuals facing various challenges, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health issues, supporting them in their journey toward greater independence and a sense of purpose. Whether working with vulnerable individuals or therapy clients, my goal is to provide a compassionate and encouraging space where people feel empowered to grow, build confidence, and embrace a life that aligns with their values and aspirations.

My Approach

In my therapeutic practice, I believe in addressing "the elephant in the corner"—those unspoken, lingering issues that weigh heavily on our hearts and minds, often tucked away or overlooked.

 

I recognise that these concerns can significantly impact our wellbeing and prevent us from fully engaging with life. By creating a safe and supportive environment, I encourage clients to bring these matters into the open, fostering honest dialogue and exploration. Together, we can navigate these difficult topics, helping to alleviate their weight and empower individuals to move forward with clarity and purpose.
